English Guzheng Tutorial

Bei Bei is a renowned Guzheng instructor and performing artist who has been playing the guzheng for over 30 years and teaching for over 15 years. She is the director of the Lotus Bud Guzheng Academy, located in Irvine, Orange County, California, USA.

Bei Bei has written three guzheng tutorial books. They are available at our website. The books are:

“Bei Bei’s Easiest Guzheng Course Book 1” (English only, for absolute beginners)

“Guzheng Session Vol.1 ” (English and Chinese bilingual for beginners)

“Guzheng Sessions Vol. 2” (English and Chinese bilingual for intermediate and advanced students)

The books have either audio recording or videos to demonstrate the songs in the book.

Here is a comprehensive video that Bei Bei teaches all the basic guzheng techniques in 80 minutes. Lessons are taught in English, with English and Chinese annotations.
